Role Overview
The role is for an experienced, detail-oriented, site-focused Clerk of Works.
The position oversees construction activities, workmanship, materials, progress, drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
The role coordinates with Project Managers, Resident Engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and daily site inspections and monitor construction workmanship.
- Ensure construction complies with approved architectural, structural, civil, and mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
- Inspect materials, identify defects and non-conformities, and follow up on rectification works.
- Monitor project schedules, delays, deviations, technical issues, and completion risks.
- Review drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents.
- Witness inspections and testing and maintain diaries, reports, photographs, records, and project files.
- Attend meetings and coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers, architects, and project teams.
- Monitor safety, housekeeping, environmental, regulatory, quality-assurance, and quality-control requirements.
- Support progress verification, valuations, defect inspections, handover, commissioning, and final completion activities.
