Role Overview
Airbus Customer Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Technician (Systems) for its Major Repair and Working Party department in Dubai.
The role supports aircraft systems inspection, maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage complex, high-value, cross-functional modification embodiment and repair working-party projects under EASA and FAR Part 145 requirements.
- Conduct upgrade embodiment activities on external customer aircraft.
- Perform major and complex repair projects, including incidental and fleet-wide repairs.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and environmental aircraft systems.
- Perform scheduled inspections, repairs, modifications, and maintenance checks according to work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Use diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and system-specific tools to resolve system issues.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and maintenance personnel on complex system problems.
- Document work performed, parts used, and hours spent in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of aircraft technology, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, calibrated, and properly stored tool environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification or diploma is preferred.
- An EASA Part 66 License or another aircraft maintenance license is advantageous.
- Experience with Airbus flight test aircraft, especially A380 or A350, is advantageous.
- Proven aircraft technician or systems technician experience, including line and base maintenance during heavy maintenance projects.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, flight controls, engines, landing gear, maintenance manuals, and EASA or FAA regulations.
- The source specifies 15 to 20 years of aeronautical industry experience in MRO Part 145 or aircraft manufacturing Part 21.
- Education in engineering, production, or manufacturing.
- Negotiation-level English is required; French and other languages are advantageous.
- Ability to travel worldwide and work independently, collaboratively, and in physically demanding environments.
Skills and Knowledge
- Aircraft systems include electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and environmental systems.
- Flight control systems require inspection, adjustment, repair, and alignment knowledge.
- Engine and landing gear maintenance includes removal, installation, inspection, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Diagnostic equipment, tools, AMM, TSM, technical specifications, and system software are used for maintenance work.
- The role requires problem solving, attention to detail, communication, organization, flexibility, and teamwork.
Work Environment
- The position is based in Dubai and involves work on customer aircraft in a physically demanding environment.
- The role requires standing, bending, lifting heavy equipment, worldwide travel, and adherence to aviation safety standards.
