Role Overview
Workday Functional Consultant / Project Lead supporting major HR technology initiatives, complex project delivery, and system optimization.
This is a one-year contract operating fully remotely during Mountain Standard Time hours.
The consultant bridges functional design and hands-on execution across HR, Payroll, Finance, and Digital teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead Workday functional design, configuration, testing, cutover, and deployment for legal entities, unions, supervisory organizations, and related initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions and conduct fit-gap analyses aligned with leading practices.
- Provide HRIS sustainment and production support, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve root causes.
- Evaluate Workday releases, perform regression testing, and maintain system stability, security, and data integrity.
- Improve business processes, reduce manual work, and establish governance standards.
- Facilitate requirements workshops and communicate project status, risks, and dependencies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of hands-on Workday functional configuration experience across Core HCM and related modules.
