Work Study, Student Support (Student Support Services)

Assist with planning, setup, execution, and cleanup of TRIO workshops, events, transfer visits, and special programs.

Help prepare materials and supplies for events and student activities.

Support student check-in and attendance tracking during programs.

Assist with outreach efforts including tabling, recruitment events, and information sessions.

Encourage student participation in TRIO activities and services.

Provide feedback on student interests, concerns, and emerging needs.

Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions for student activities and events.

Serve as a student voice to help shape engaging and relevant programming.

Assist in identifying creative ways to increase student involvement and program visibility.

Perform basic clerical tasks such as filing, copying, data entry, and organizing materials.

Assist with inventory of office and event supplies.

Maintain confidentiality of student records and information in accordance with FERPA guidelines.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

By serving in this role, the Student Assistant will:

Learn social media marketing and content creation strategies.

Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester; Maintain satisfactory academic progress; Adhere to College's confidentiality policy; Successfully pass background/drug screening; Answer phone and take messages; Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing; Open and sort mail; Strong interpersonal communication skills; Willingness to learn new technology; Assist with special projects; Other duties as assigned.
