Keysight is looking for a Wireless Protocol Software Engineer with strong 3GPP protocol expertise to develop robust software capabilities and APIs for system configuration , working close to standards and real implementations.

In this role, you will translate evolving 3GPP specifications into system-level configurability , enabling reliable configuration and validation of protocol behavior across UE and base station emulation .

You will contribute to early 6G pre‑standard implementation activities , partnering across disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions.

This position sits at the intersection of protocol standards, software engineering, and system configuration APIs , within a multi‑site international environment .

• Design, develop, integrate, and optimize APIs for system‑level configurability .
• Validate 3GPP protocol configurations , with specific focus on RRC configuration .
• Support both UE and base station emulation environments.
• Contribute to pre‑6G standards , following 3GPP evolution and emerging requirements.
• Convert evolving requirements (3GPP releases, operator acceptance needs, O‑RAN priorities) into:
• Clear software designs and interfaces
• Test workflows
• Reusable and maintainable components
• Collaborate with cross‑functional experts ( systems, RF, protocol, UI, customers/partners ) to:
• Reproduce field issues
• Debug complex behaviors
• Deliver fixes with strong root‑cause discipline
• Strong expertise in 3GPP LTE / NR .
• Focus on API management and 3GPP protocols .
