Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wind turbine systems and their mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control components.
- Diagnose faults, identify root causes, replace defective components, perform adjustments, and recommend reliability improvements.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, electrical testing, lubrication, torque checks, alignment, and equipment adjustments.
Installation, Inspection, and Monitoring
- Support turbine installation, commissioning, testing, upgrades, and equipment performance testing following maintenance or repairs.
- Inspect blades, nacelles, towers, gearboxes, drivetrains, generators, transformers, converters, motors, panels, braking systems, and lubrication systems.
- Support condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, remote monitoring, and technical analysis of turbine performance.
Records, Coordination, and Safety
- Maintain service reports, inspection findings, fault records, corrective actions, and equipment maintenance documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, contractors, specialist technicians, and operations teams and assist with spare-parts planning.
- Follow manufacturer procedures and safety and environmental requirements, including lockout/tagout and electrical and mechanical isolation.
- Participate in emergency response, breakdown recovery, technical training, and development of wind energy technology expertise.
Requirements
- A diploma, technical certificate, or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in wind energy, industrial maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, or a related technical environment.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or control-system faults and using testing instruments.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures, lockout/tagout, equipment isolation, condition monitoring, and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work safely at height and in challenging industrial environments and collaborate with technical and operations teams.
- Familiarity with SCADA or remote turbine monitoring, manufacturer-specific training, and UAE/GCC renewable energy experience are advantageous.
