Role Overview
The Athlete Performance Manager will lead integrated athlete performance programs across training, competition, recovery, monitoring, development, and performance optimization.

Work Arrangement

Performance Program Leadership
- Develop athlete performance strategies and frameworks aligned with sporting objectives.
- Coordinate strength and conditioning, sports science, nutrition, psychology, medical, coaching, and performance-analysis functions.
- Create individualized performance plans and coordinate athlete performance reviews.
- Lead multidisciplinary performance meetings and ensure ownership of follow-up actions.
Monitoring and Performance Analysis
- Establish systems covering workload, readiness, recovery, fatigue, sleep, wellness, and performance indicators.
- Analyze athlete data to identify trends, risks, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate physical, technical, tactical, physiological, psychological, and functional assessments.
- Develop dashboards, reporting systems, benchmarks, data standards, and documentation procedures.
Recovery and Athlete Development
- Coordinate training-load planning across preparation, competition, travel, recovery, and peak-performance phases.
- Develop return-to-performance pathways with medical and rehabilitation teams.
- Coordinate recovery programs involving sleep, nutrition, hydration, mobility, regeneration, and recovery technologies.
- Support athlete development from emerging talent through elite and professional levels.
Technology and Operations
- Evaluate, implement, validate, maintain, and standardize performance technologies, wearables, testing equipment, and monitoring platforms.
- Manage consultants, testing providers, technology suppliers, laboratories, and specialist service providers.
- Manage performance-program budgets, resources, equipment, facilities, and staffing requirements.
- Recruit, supervise, develop, and evaluate performance staff and specialist practitioners where applicable.
Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in athlete performance, sports science, strength and conditioning, high-performance sport, performance management, or elite athlete development.
- Experience managing integrated athlete performance programs and working with multidisciplinary specialists.
- Experience interpreting performance data and translating insights into practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with international and distributed teams is highly desirable.
- Relevant academic or professional qualifications in sports science, exercise science, strength and conditioning, human performance, or a related field are highly desirable.

Performance measures include athlete improvement, goal achievement, readiness, availability, workload management, recovery, wellness, injury outcomes, development progress, competition performance, data quality, technology use, budget adherence, and staff collaboration.
