About the Role
Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to support the vendor accommodation audit program in the UAE. - Conduct planned and ad hoc accommodation audits across UAE vendor sites against Amazon's Global Accommodation Compliance Guidance and applicable UAE regulations
- Document audit findings, raise escalation tickets for critical findings, and develop Corrective Action Plans in coordination with vendors
- Track vendor remediation progress, review compliance evidence, and escalate non responsive vendors to senior stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze compliance metrics, create reports, and identify trends requiring attention
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in workplace health and safety, compliance auditing, or related field
- Comfortable with frequent field travel across UAE vendor accommodation sites
- Valid UAE driving license or willingness to obtain one
- Proficiency in English
- Experience in data analysis and metrics reporting

Key Job Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in workplace health and safety, compliance auditing, or related field.
- Comfortable with frequent field travel across UAE vendor accommodation sites.
- Valid UAE driving license or willingness to obtain one.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Experience in data analysis and metrics reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting social compliance, accommodation, or third party vendor audits.
- Experience developing Corrective Action Plans and managing vendor remediation processes.
- Familiarity with UAE labor regulations and accommodation standards.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent WHS certification.
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross functional collaboration.
