Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS Standards/Policies
- Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies and identify plans to fix deficiencies
- Deliver on time and quality projects to Operations
- Analyze safety metrics and review weekly and monthly incident trends to allocate resources
- Ensure proper Incident Investigation and closure of corrective and preventive actions
- Perform frequent site safety audits to identify non compliant equipment and/or processes
- Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injury
- Audit record keeping practices and ensure entries aligned with global WHS standards and local regulations
- Audit workplace organization and associate behaviors to ensure training and scoring accuracy
- Lead and mentor safety associates in assigned facilities
- Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities
- Ensure PPE inventory and coordinate with procurement teams while ensuring PPE compliance
Requirements
- Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal
- NEBOSH or IOSH certified
- 2+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience (preferred)
- Experience in emergency response (preferred)
- Experience using lean process improvement, six sigma methodologies (preferred)

Role Overview
- WHS Officer will possess excellent safety program knowledge as well as environmental and ergonomic understanding.
- The WHS Officer will be a part of WHS team and reporting to site WHS manager.
- The WHS Officer should be flexible to work in shifts including days and nights.
Key Job Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and creating escalation plans.
- Experience in emergency response.

- Experience working in fast paced environments.
