- Lead wet utilities design from concept through detailed design, tender, construction support, and handover
- Review design criteria, calculations, hydraulic models, drawings, reports, specifications, BOQs, and authority submission packages
- Coordinate wet utilities with roads, dry utilities, structures, landscape, grading, GIS, BIM, and other project disciplines
- Manage design interfaces, technical risks, authority comments, NOCs, review trackers, and comment response matrices
- Lead client, authority, utility provider, and stakeholder technical discussions related to wet utilities
- Mentor engineers, designers, BIM modelers, and CAD technicians while ensuring clear task allocation and quality control
- Support project leadership with resource planning, programme control, fee inputs, scope changes, proposals, and value engineering
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 15 years of wet utilities design experience, including 3–5 years in a lead or team leadership role
- Experience with potable water, sewerage, stormwater drainage, TSE/irrigation, firefighting water, pumping stations, storage facilities, outfalls, and utility diversions
- Experience leading authority submissions, technical meetings, NOCs, approvals, and comment resolution
- Strong understanding of local authority standards, utility provider requirements, international codes, quality procedures, and safety requirements

Job Description
- Wet Utilities Team Lead leads the planning, design, coordination, review, and delivery of wet utilities infrastructure across multidisciplinary projects.
- Ensures that potable water, sewerage, stormwater, TSE/irrigation, firefighting water, pumping, storage, and outfall designs are technically sound, coordinated, authority compliant, and delivered to the required quality, budget, and programme.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead wet utilities design from concept through detailed design, tender, construction support, and handover.
- Review design criteria, calculations, hydraulic models, drawings, reports, specifications, BOQs, and authority submission packages.
- Coordinate wet utilities with roads, dry utilities, structures, landscape, grading, GIS, BIM, and other project disciplines.
- Manage design interfaces, technical risks, authority comments, NOCs, review trackers, and comment response matrices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of wet utilities design experience, including 3–5 years in a lead or team leadership role.
- Experience with potable water, sewerage, stormwater drainage, TSE/irrigation, firefighting water, pumping stations, storage facilities, outfalls, and utility diversions.
- Experience leading authority submissions, technical meetings, NOCs, approvals, and comment resolution.
- Strong understanding of local authority standards, utility provider requirements, international codes, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, mentoring, and decision making skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Professional registration or chartership preferred, such as PE, CEng, MICE, MCIWEM, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in design documentation, hydraulic modelling, Civil 3D/AutoCAD, BIM coordination, GIS workflows, and clash resolution.
- Strong GCC/UAE infrastructure project experience preferred.
- Technical knowledge of wet utilities planning, hydraulic design, hydrology, gravity and pressure networks, pumping, storage, and utility corridors.
