Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications
- Perform inspection activities including demolition, construction of structures such as reservoirs, lifting stations, landscaping structures, lagoons, swimming pools, substations, retaining walls, tunnels, bridges
- Maintain office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and write daily diaries
- Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract
- Verify only approved materials are incorporated in the work
- Perform labor compliance interviews and maintain as built plans
- Recognize potential conflicts, issues, and problems; identify possible solutions and advise supervisor
- Collect, review, and file Certificate of Compliance, Safety Data Sheets, inspection tags, and other material information
- Report on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work
- Coordinate work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing
- Assist with development of job safety practices and reports
- Support creation of quality control procedures and reports
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years experience overall and 5 years minimum structural inspection experience in infrastructure and pumping/lifting stations
- Proven ability to read/interpret plans, specifications, public works contracts, and construction processes
- Strong math and engineering skills, including calculations, graphs, and charts
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, project software, internet)
- Effective reporting, diary keeping, and communication skills in English

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for a Structural Inspector to join the team in Dubai, UAE.

What You'll Be Doing

What Required Skills You'll Bring
