Responsibilities
- Design wet utility systems including potable water, irrigation, fire fighting, sewerage, and stormwater systems
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD software
- Develop hydraulic models to analyze and optimize system performance
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine project requirements
- Perform calculations for pipe sizing, flow rates, pressure losses, and system capacities
- Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQ)
- Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, codes, and standards
- Work closely with architects, urban planners, and other engineering disciplines
- Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs
- Follow company QA/QC procedures, design checklists, and document control protocols
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of experience in engineering consultancy with focus on wet utilities/infrastructure design
- Proven experience with UAE/GCC projects; direct Abu Dhabi authority experience highly preferred
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling: WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWorks, EPANET
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM: AutoCAD, Civil 3D
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint

- Parsons is looking for a Wet Utility Design Engineer to join our team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design wet utility systems including potable water, irrigation, fire fighting, sewerage, and stormwater systems

What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Master’s degree in Water Resources, Hydraulics, or Environmental Engineering is an advantage
- Knowledge of Abu Dhabi Utility Infrastructure Design Manuals and authority submission procedures
- Knowledge of international standards such as AWWA, BS/EN, ISO for water and wastewater systems
- Design of both gravity and pressurized systems
- Prior experience in UAE or GCC market/projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Team player with good communication skills
