About the Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular campus patrols and maintain a visible, approachable presence
- Identify and support students experiencing distress, conflict, or medical concerns, referring them to appropriate services
- Monitor student behaviour and promote compliance with university policies
- Respond to behavioural and welfare incidents using de escalation techniques
- Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with security teams for incidents requiring escalation
- Maintain accurate incident reports while ensuring confidentiality
- Collaborate with Student Affairs and the Student Welfare Unit to promote a safe and respectful campus environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in security, student welfare, customer service, hospitality, education, or a related field
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Empathy, emotional intelligence, and cultural sensitivity
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and emergency response procedures
- First Aid certification is an advantage
- Ability to prepare clear incident reports and maintain accurate records
