Job Purpose
Supervise and control daily welding activities within the production line.
Lead and guide welders while ensuring welding quality, productivity, safety, and compliance with production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate welding tasks according to production plans and priorities.
- Ensure welding follows approved drawings, weld sizes, procedures, and quality standards.
- Monitor weld appearance, penetration, dimensions, and defects.
- Check welding parameters, consumables, equipment, and machine settings.
- Ensure correct welding techniques are used for different materials and thicknesses.
- Monitor productivity and achievement of welding production targets.
- Identify welding defects and coordinate corrective actions to reduce rework and material waste.
- Train, guide, and support welders to improve skills, efficiency, and work quality.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and other departments on welding issues.
- Ensure welding equipment and work areas are used safely and maintained properly.
Requirements
- Ability to supervise and control daily welding activities within a production line.
- Ability to ensure welding complies with approved drawings, weld sizes, procedures, and quality standards.
