Job Summary
The Website Administrator is responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining the company's websites to ensure their continuous availability, updating content and pages, developing new features, protecting the site from breaches, performing data backups, improving performance and browsing speed, and enhancing visibility in search engines. The role also contributes to providing technical support within the company, and following up on hosting, domain, and server data to ensure the continuity of digital services without reliance on external parties.
Responsibilities
Fully manage the company's websites and ensure their availability around the clock.
Develop the website and add new features or modify interfaces according to company requirements.
Perform periodic website maintenance and address errors and issues immediately upon occurrence.
Execute regular backups of the website and database and restore them when needed.
Manage the hosting and domain control panel and renew them upon expiration.
Activate and protect the website with SSL security certificates and secure user data.
Update pages, sections, and images, and add new content when needed.
Improve website speed and user experience and ensure ease of navigation.
Apply SEO fundamentals and organize keywords and links.
Upload, edit, and compress images and media to maintain loading speed.
Develop new pages using basic HTML and CSS (and programming when needed).
Test the website on mobile devices and various browsers to ensure compatibility.
Manage and protect email accounts linked to the website.
Document maintenance work and modifications to ensure easy future reference.
Monitor website performance, analyze traffic and errors, and suggest improvements.
Protect the website from breaches through updates, backups, and security settings.
Modify or program templates or plugins when needed for internal website development.
Work on updating or creating new sections within the website upon request.
Provide support and assistance to the IT department in handling simple technical issues related to employee devices and internal systems.
Contribute to backing up company and server data and ensuring it is stored in secure locations.
Follow up on the renewal of domain, server, and email services in coordination with service providers.
Support the creation and setup of employee email accounts and resolve sending and receiving issues.
Contribute to protecting employee and company data by applying security and confidentiality procedures, and updating passwords and systems.
Personal Skills
Accuracy and integrity in work.
Proficiency in content management via CMS systems (e.g., WordPress).
Knowledge of basic web development: HTML / CSS / JavaScript.
Hosting and domain management, including cPanel / DNS / SSL.
Ability to perform Backup & Restore operations.
SEO Basics.
Troubleshooting skills.
Web Security fundamentals and website protection.
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics.
Ability to use content management tools (e.g., WordPress, if applicable).
Network troubleshooting, repair, and configuration.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Continuous learning and keeping up with technical developments.
Operating systems management (Windows, Linux, Mac).
Database management and SQL.
Good communication and keen attention to detail.
Professional ethics and work values.
Written and verbal communication ability, diplomacy, and tact.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering.
Experience
The candidate must have a minimum of 1 to 6 years of practical experience in the following areas: website management, development, and maintenance; content management systems; hosting, domain, and SSL certificate handling; data protection; information backup; basic technical support for networks, email, and company systems; and providing support for technical solutions, networks, communications, and information technology.
