Role Overview
Civiltec Engineering is seeking a California-registered professional engineer for a Project Engineer role in its Upland, California office.
The role focuses on municipal-scale potable water systems and increasing ownership of project delivery.
What You'll Do
- Plan, design, manage, and support construction for municipal water infrastructure projects.
- Lead potable water pipeline, pumping system, and water treatment facility designs from concept through construction.
- Prepare engineering calculations, hydraulic analyses, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform pump selection, head loss calculations, pipeline sizing, hydraulic modeling, and system performance evaluations.
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers, review technical work, and conduct quality control of deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, evaluate design modifications, and resolve construction field issues.
- Develop cost-effective solutions meeting hydraulic, environmental, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 5–7 years of experience designing municipal potable water systems.
