Warehouse Operator

Receive inbound freight, verify piece counts, check condition, and confirm cargo matches paperwork, manifests, collection notes, or customer instructions.

Load and unload vehicles, including local collection vehicles, supplier deliveries, customer drop-offs, and scheduled trunk vehicles to gateway locations.

Prepare cargo for onward movement by packing, palletising, banding, labelling, measuring, weighing, photographing, and staging freight as required.

Support export and import activity by ensuring freight is handled in accordance with customer requirements, shipment deadlines, and operational priorities.

Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, damages, missing paperwork, dangerous goods declarations, or other exceptions to the operations team promptly.

Maintain accurate warehouse records, including goods received notes, shipment references, piece counts, weights, dimensions, and location updates.

Assist with container loading, devanning, transload activity, and warehouse handling tasks when required.

Support the preparation of truck manifests and ensure freight is ready for agreed collection or departure times.

Maintain good housekeeping standards across the warehouse, yard, loading areas, and storage locations.

Follow all health, safety, security, and compliance procedures, including safe manual handling, equipment checks, and safe working practices around vehicles and freight.
