Role Description
As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our warehouse facility in Sharjah.
This is a full-time, on-site role where you will manage a team to ensure inventory control, efficient workflow, and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities include supervising staff, streamlining warehouse operations, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
You will also coordinate cross-departmental activities and maintain compliance with safety and operational standards.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse functions including receiving, inspection, staging, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of home furnishing products.
- Ensure proper handling of bulky, fragile, and high‑value furniture items to prevent damage.
- Implement space‑optimization strategies for large items, modular furniture, and seasonal inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse aligned with showroom‑quality standards.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
- Oversee product labeling, barcoding, and WMS updates for furniture SKUs and décor items.
- Manage returns, repairs, refurbishments, and damage reporting.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse associates, furniture handlers, forklift operators, and delivery prep teams.
- Develop staffing schedules based on inbound/outbound volume and seasonal peaks.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
Quality & Safety
- Enforce safe lifting, handling, and equipment operation practices specific to large and heavy furniture.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and warehouse safety protocols.
- Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and furniture‑handling tools.
Logistics & Coordination
- Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure timely dispatch and white‑glove delivery readiness.
- Work with procurement, retail stores, and customer service to resolve inventory or delivery issues.
- Manage relationships with transport providers, installers, and third‑party logistics partners.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, workflow, and operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices for furniture storage, damage reduction, and order accuracy.
- Track and report KPIs such as order fulfillment rate, damage rate, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in home furnishings, furniture logistics, or large‑item warehousing strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and inventory management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage heavy workloads, seasonal peaks, and fast‑paced operations.
