Experience
3 - 5 years of professional graphic or visual design experience is preferred.
Experience designing for integrated campaigns, publications, digital channels, events, or institutional communications is an asset.
Experience in post-secondary, non-profit, agency, or in-house marketing environments is an asset.
A portfolio demonstrating strong design craft, brand consistency, and practical production ability.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong working knowledge of graphic design, typography, layout, visual hierarchy, image treatment, and production design.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and related design tools; familiarity with Canva, MediaValet, Marq, or other collaborative design tools is an asset.
- Experience preparing files for print, digital, web, email, and social media environments.
- Ability to interpret a creative brief, ask clarifying questions, and produce thoughtful design solutions.
- Strong attention to detail, including proofreading sensitivity, file accuracy, brand consistency, and production readiness.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple assigned projects while meeting deadlines.
- Open to feedback, collaborative in approach, and committed to growing in creative craft.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work independently and with a team.
