Role Overview
The Visual Associate creates an engaging visual environment in the store and supports visual initiatives under the direction of the Visual Manager.
The role is responsible for floor merchandising, window displays, mannequin presentation, promotional setups, and merchandise replenishment.
Visual Merchandising
- Merchandise the selling floor and create appropriate window displays according to visual and merchandising standards.
- Change apparel on mannequins according to established standards.
- Demonstrate initiative and urgency in preparing the selling floor before store opening.
- Follow directives and corporate guidelines from the Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team.
Promotions and Store Support
- Execute promotional and sale setups, including presentation, lettering, and signage on the sales floor.
- Assist the Sales Support Team with trunk shows and personal appearance setups and preparation.
- Assist in replenishing merchandise on the selling floor and in wall units.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- At least two years of visual team experience in a major multi-level department store is required.
- A portfolio of previously created projects is required.
- Ability to use carpentry tools safely and efficiently, painting experience, basic production experience, and materials knowledge are required.
- Experience in styling and fashion pulls and strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends are required.
- Microsoft Office proficiency is required; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Illustrator experience is preferred.
