Role Overview
The Vehicle Readiness Operator is accountable for the physical readiness of the fleet before vehicles go on the road.
The role supports vehicle launch, repositioning, charging, compliance reporting, and readiness activities in a 24/7 operation.
Vehicle Readiness and Fleet Operations
- Inspect vehicles entering the depot and assign the correct action.
- Complete launch-ready checks and sign-offs before each shift.
- Support autonomous vehicle troubleshooting, software updates, and readiness checks.
- Use operational systems to monitor vehicle states, log tasks, and communicate updates.
- Arrange, manoeuvre, and transit vehicles, including charger setup and charging cycle management.
- Maintain vehicle lifecycle data and respond to operational needs while prioritising safety and fleet availability.
