Responsibilities
- Advise clients on strategic planning, transaction and non transaction related decision making processes
- Work on commercial issues, acquisition processes, and transformation plans
- Undertake valuations for strategic priorities and identify sources of value creation
- Advise businesses on valuations issues regarding acquisition, divestitures, or restructuring
- Provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings
- Assess how acquired intangible and financial assets impact accounting requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business
- At least 6 years of related business modeling work experience
- Financial modeling skills including building models from scratch
- Broad understanding of IFRS standards related to fair value measurements, business combination, impairment testing
- Solution driven with demonstrated record of solving complex problems
- Autonomous with experience in handling and developing client relationships
- Valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm
- Coaching experience with junior and senior staff
- Expertise in Real Estate financial modeling
- CFA or equivalent internationally recognized qualification (e.g., RICS, CBV)
- Strong understanding of GCC market dynamics

The opportunity
- EY has an established industry leading Valuation and Modelling and Economics practice.
- We advise clients in addressing strategic planning, transaction and non transaction related decision making processes.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work on commercial issues, working with management on parts of the acquisition process or transformation plans.
- Regularly undertake valuations for strategic priorities.
- Help clients identify sources of value creation and quantify it.
- Act as a truly Corporate Finance advisor to leverage on EY capabilities.
- Regularly advise businesses on valuations issues with regards to acquisition, divestitures or restructuring.
- Provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.
- Work with management to understand how value of acquired intangible and financial assets will impact accounting requirements.
- Provide fair value opinion for financial reporting purpose.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's/Masters degree in finance, economics, accounting or business with at least 6 years of related business modelling work experience.
- Solution driven individual and out of comfort zone thinker with demonstrated record of solving complex problems.
- Autonomous with demonstrated experience in handling and developing clients’ relationship.
- Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch ideally with Real Estate Experience.
- Broad understanding of IFRS standards related to fair value measurements, business combination, impairment testing.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm.

- Expertise in Real Estate financial modeling.
