Essential Job Duties
- Work with engineering leads to develop and understand system requirements.
- Develop and coordinate system test concepts and objectives with management.
- Manage one or more system test personnel and drive their day-to-day activities.
- Create test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports with software developers.
- Identify test resources and required dates.
- Prepare software test status reports and present status to management and customers.
- Perform procedure validations, software builds, and test administration.
- Trace system requirements from customer specifications to test cases.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the System Test Environment.
- Conduct integration and formal system tests.
- Maintain the test requirements database.
- Lead Test Readiness Reviews and provide technical guidance and training to junior test personnel.
Coordination and Delivery
- Develop and manage test budgets and schedules.
- Interface with customers, contractors, vendors, and hardware, software, and systems engineers.
- Interface with the QA organization on corrective actions from reviews and audits.
- Write device and system procedures and conduct tests.
- Drive management and resolution of system ARQs and issues.
- Work with Engineering during analysis and design to support timely product delivery.
