Essential duties
- Own electronic and electrical engineering activities from requirements through design, component selection, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
- Take ownership of designs and provide progress updates to the business.
- Manage suppliers from engineering specifications through part delivery for evaluation, prototyping, and production.
- Evaluate design and manufacturing proposals for project cost effectiveness.
- Assist with customer presentations and proposals.
- Work with teams and management while following company policies and assigned duties.
Essential qualifications
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a similar subject, or equivalent extensive relevant design experience.
- At least 5 years of hardware or embedded project design and testing experience.
- Experience with hardware development lifecycle activities and interface design and testing.
- Experience with DTC, DFM, DFT, simulation tools, and technical requirements and test documentation.
- Knowledge of Jira and product lifecycle management tools.
Desirable qualifications
- Industrial, automotive, or equivalent domain experience.
- Experience with Altium and AutoCAD.
Personal qualities and work conditions
- Effective written and oral communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and prioritization skills are expected.
- Domestic and international travel, including occasional odd hours, may be required for customer needs.
