UXPective is hiring a Design Events Lead to own its events vertical as a core team member.
The role carries end-to-end ownership for event strategy, systems, network building, distribution, and growth.
Location and Job Type
- The role is remote and allows work from anywhere.
- The job type is contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the events vertical end to end, including strategy, calendar, formats, and distribution.
- Set systems and standards for how UXPective events run.
- Recruit, onboard, and direct a city-ambassador network across multiple cities.
- Own event distribution and growth beyond a single city.
- Decide on formats, speakers, and cities for expansion.
Skills and Qualifications
- Be a UX designer or events professional with a few years of relevant experience.
- Want to own a vertical and operate in a leadership seat rather than execute someone else's plan.
- Be entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable building from the ground up.
- Be strong at community-building, networking, and getting people into a room.
Compensation and Structure
- The role is a core team position with full ownership of the events vertical.
- Compensation includes a 60% profit share on every event run under the vertical, including ambassador-executed events.
- There are no fixed hours; performance is measured by events delivered rather than time spent.
- The arrangement is a contractual partnership and ownership role, not a salaried position.
Operating Model
The lead sets direction and builds the system, while the team and ambassadors handle posters, outreach, logistics, and other execution tasks.
