This position is a CUPE 859 position and will be filled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Should it not be filled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, external candidates will be considered.
Job Summary
Under supervision of the Operations Superintendent, this position operates various types of equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates various types of equipment such as trucks, front-end loaders and motor graders in the Roadways section.
- Maintains and services equipment being operated.
- Assists with the training and instruction of proper operating and servicing procedures.
- Maintains appropriate service records.
- Assists with the servicing of equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
- Grade 12 education.
- Five years' experience operating heavy construction equipment.
