A client of EDI Staffbuilders International Inc is seeking an Upholstery Technician to repair and reupholster furniture including sofas, chairs, and mattresses. - Reupholster furniture with new fabrics and materials
- Clean and maintain upholstery to extend its lifespan
- Install new upholstery and furniture
- Adhere to safety regulations, especially when working with chemicals and power tools
- Disassemble furniture to access upholstery and internal components
- Replace worn out springs, webbing, and padding
- Cut and sew fabric to fit furniture shapes
- Apply upholstery techniques, such as stapling, tacking, and sewing
- Clean and polish furniture frames
Requirements
- Experience in upholstery and furniture repair
- Ability to use power tools and chemicals safely
