The role is Unit Manager, Trade Operations, based in Dubai.
The position is classified as Band 7 and has an office-working arrangement.
The employment type is permanent.
Responsibilities
- Identify causes of transaction disruptions and provide fixes for seamless execution.
- Meet clients to review insights, volumes, queries, disruption reasons, and digitization opportunities.
- Maintain client confidentiality and provide personalized trade client service.
- Prioritize Trade Priority client transactions to meet targeted turnaround times.
- Provide regular client feedback on transaction flow and ways to reduce turnaround time.
- Monitor transaction queues and ensure country transactions are handled within 30 minutes.
- Follow up on pending transactions and queries with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Plan staffing, leave coverage, backups, and staff utilization.
- Train staff on procedures, process upgrades, and trade products.
- Manage team motivation and encourage continuous improvement and standardization.
- Comply with laws, regulations, sanctions policies, and Group and Company policies.
- Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
Skills and Experience
- Trade knowledge and advanced trade product knowledge are required.
- Client service and general banking knowledge are required.
- Microsoft Office and email skills are required.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
Qualifications
- Experience handling Trade Services or Trade Operations is required.
- An undergraduate qualification is listed.
- The role requires understanding of ICC rules, local laws, legal risks, and operational risks.
- Experience is required across collections, letters of credit, guarantees or SBLC, open account financing or receivable purchases, and Islamic trade.
- CDCS or CSDG certification is an added advantage.
