The Role
Hiscox is seeking an Underwriter, Professional Risks reporting to the Regional Manager for Architects and Engineers.
The role drives new professional liability business and complex renewal business in the A&E sector in the East Coast region.
The position writes tailored policies for architects, engineers, contractors, real estate developers, construction managers, land surveyors, and related businesses.
Lines of business include commercial general liability, professional liability and errors and omissions, and occasional cross-sold cyber coverage.
What You Will Do
- Underwrite, price, and negotiate accounts according to risk quality, company strategy, and product guidelines.
- Develop new broker relationships and deepen existing relationships throughout the East Coast region.
- Engage with the national A&E team to learn and teach collaboratively.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards.
- Exceed minimum quote output numbers established by the A&E manager.
- Travel regionally for industry events and broker visits.
