- Perform mathematical calculations, performance data, and landing configurations of the type series
- Conduct briefings to flight crew members and maintenance personnel in support of MTP aircraft operations
Requirements
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Maintenance Test pilot in UH60 series aircraft
- Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Helicopter; Instrument Helicopter license
- Meets requirements of AR 95 20
- USG maintenance test pilot qualified in the UH 60M helicopter
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- FAA A&P Certificate preferred
- FAA IA certificate preferred
- Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements including medical, drug testing, background checks
- DD214 required for military experience

Overview
- V2X has an opening for an Aviation Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP).
- Responsible for performing Maintenance Test Flights (MTF), Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC), and conducting in flight troubleshooting and verifications of aircraft to ensure airworthiness upon completion of extensive disassembly for maintenance, repair, replacement or modification of components
- Flights typically include determining availability of required aircraft power, assessing power plant health and performance, and verifying functioning of aircraft components and systems.
- The MTP shall perform general or limited test flights when ground diagnostic tests cannot determine safe and/or proper functioning.
- The MTP shall conduct aircraft general and pre flight readiness inspections, start, run up, fly, navigate and safely land aircraft IAW applicable aircraft operators manual.
- The MTP shall correctly complete all required aircraft maintenance forms, records, and aircraft logbooks entries.
- The MTP shall perform mathematical calculations, performance data, and landing configurations of the type series.
- The MTP shall conduct briefings to flight crew members and maintenance personnel.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that maintenance test flight functional activities and procedures are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness rates IAW contractual requirements.
- Responsible for the establishment of maintenance flight processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform readiness rates.
- Establishes daily maintenance test flight organizational goals with production control, objectives and priorities for implementation in order to achieve stated readiness rates.
- Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, standards, measures, and reports IAW the quality control inspection program for all maintenance and in coordination with Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities.
- Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation maintenance test flights and supporting maintenance activities, to the Aviation Maintenance Technician, Production Control manager.
- Attends a daily maintenance meeting for coordination and synchronization of maintenance activities requiring MTP support.
- Coordinates activities and requirements for maintenance test flight operations support with the Base Operations Manager.
- Ensure all maintenance test flight operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.
- In coordination with the Aviation Manager, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures.
- Other tasks as directed by the PC Manager.
- Reports to the Battalion Production Control Manger.
- Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- FAA A&P Certificate preferred.
- FAA IA certificate preferred.
- Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- As a condition of employment in Saudi Arabia, all candidates must successfully complete the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s Qualification Verification Program (QVP).
Experience Requirements
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Maintenance Test pilot in UH60 series aircraft
- Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Helicopter; Instrument Helicopter license.
- Meets requirements of AR 95 20.
- Successfully pass the Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical upon hire, and annually thereafter.
- USG maintenance test pilot qualified in the UH 60M helicopter.
- Proficient in the use of computer hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.
- Possess a valid U.S driver’s license and Passport.
- DD214 required for military experience.
- Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks, etc.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a military maintenance unit.
- Strong knowledge of military logistics procedures and regulations.
