Role Overview

  • The Sales Director forms a vital part of the sales population within the MENA region.
  • The role carries general management duties, potentially including acting as a signatory for the local entity on legislative and financial matters.
  • Responsible for delivery of the annual revenue target for their specific area through effective account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate revenue forecast based on operational activity and expenditure planned by customers.
  • Retain existing customer base while identifying and successfully developing relationships with new customers.
  • Ensure client understanding of the full Weatherford portfolio of products and services.
  • Drive the tender management process through the Geozone commercial operations teams.
  • Hold final approval authority, in conjunction with the Geozone VP, for all client submissions.
  • Support negotiation discussions, including liaison with Legal for contract drafting and execution.
  • Develop and execute sales campaigns, and assemble and disseminate market intelligence.
  • Own the generation of annual forecasts and revenue targets through account plans.
  • Deliver positive commercial results through strong negotiating skills, driving continuous improvement in margin performance.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews of Account Managers and Technical Sales personnel against their Account Plans.

Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Demonstrated resilience, persistence, and creative passion in building trust with stakeholders.
  • Ability to relate to and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective written and verbal communicator of commercial strategy and operational execution.
  • Experience in P&L management and managing multi cultural areas.
  • Experience creating account plans and strategies.
  • 10 years in a leadership role.
  • 15 years experience in Sales, Product line management and Operations.
