Minimum Qualifications

• Education Required: Tutor I ($16.50/hr): Associate’s degree required. No experience in higher education or a tutoring environment required. Tutor II ($18.00/hr): Associate’s degree plus at least 2 years of experience in higher education or a tutoring environment required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Tutor III ($19.00/hr): Bachelor’s degree plus at least 2 years of experience in higher education or a tutoring environment required. Master’s degree or above preferred. Tutor IV ($20.00/hr): Doctoral degree plus at least 2 years of experience in higher education or a tutoring environment required. Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements: Other requirements include strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in subject matter, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, familiarity with academic support strategies, and basic computer literacy for virtual or hybrid tutoring environments.

• INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college. Employee Classification: Part Time
