About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Operations Coordinator to support a major ADNOC Turnaround project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing shutdown, decontamination, catalyst change-out, commissioning, and start-up activities.

Responsibilities
- Challenge and optimize ADNOC Operations teams' strategies for shutdown, decontamination, commissioning, and start up activities to reduce turnaround duration.
- Review and challenge operational methodologies for catalyst change activities, ensuring efficient integration with other turnaround tasks.
- Monitor and report progress of operational preparation activities, identifying bottlenecks and recommending solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive Blind Lists and coordinate submission to contractor for execution.
- Coordinate and manage SIMOPs activities with all relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in Field Risk Assessments (FRA) and Task Risk Assessments (TRA) meetings.
- Ensure identification, tracking, and timely completion of all Pre Turnaround activities.
- Coordinate between Operations, Process Engineering, Turnaround Team, and Contractors for equipment scheduling and execution planning.
- Review P&IDs to identify Non TAR equipment and coordinate Pre TAR and Post TAR activities with Operations.
- Support preparation and development of the Turnaround Scope of Work.
- Ensure decontamination activities are performed per approved schedule during turnaround execution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to prepare Pre Start up Safety Review (PSSR) plan and schedule, and facilitate PSSR activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (preferred)
- Proven experience in Oil & Gas Turnaround/Shutdown Projects, preferably with ADNOC or major refinery/petrochemical facilities
- Strong knowledge of Shutdown & Start up Operations, Decontamination Planning, Catalyst Change Management, Turnaround Execution, Commissioning Activities, SIMOPs Coordination, PSSR Processes, FRA & TRA Methodologies
- Excellent P&ID interpretation skills
- Strong planning, scheduling, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing shutdown, decontamination, catalyst change out, commissioning, and start up activities while
Key Responsibilities
- Challenge and optimize ADNOC Operations teams' strategies for shutdown, decontamination, commissioning, and start up activities, with a strong focus on reducing turnaround duration.
- Review and challenge operational methodologies for catalyst change activities, ensuring efficient integration with other turnaround tasks during the execution window.
- Monitor and report the progress of operational preparation activities, identifying existing bottlenecks and recommending practical solutions for timely resolution.
- Prepare comprehensive Blind Lists and coordinate their submission to the contractor for execution.
- Coordinate and manage SIMOPs (Simultaneous Operations) activities in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders to ensure safe and effective execution.
- Participate actively in Field Risk Assessments (FRA) and Task Risk Assessments (TRA) meetings, ensuring operational risks are identified and mitigated.
- Ensure the identification, tracking, and timely completion of all Pre Turnaround activities.
- Coordinate between Operations, Process Engineering, Turnaround Team, and Contractors for equipment scheduling and execution planning.
- Review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to identify Non TAR equipment and coordinate Pre TAR and Post TAR activities with Operations.
- Support the preparation and development of the Turnaround Scope of Work.
- During turnaround execution, ensure decontamination activities are performed in accordance with the approved schedule and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to prepare the Pre Start up Safety Review (PSSR) plan and schedule.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
- Proven experience in Oil & Gas Turnaround/Shutdown Projects, preferably with ADNOC or major refinery/petrochemical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of Shutdown & Start up Operations, Decontamination Planning, Catalyst Change Management, Turnaround Execution, Commissioning Activities, SIMOPs Coordination, PSSR Processes, FRA & TRA Methodologies.
- Excellent P&ID interpretation skills are mandatory.
- Strong planning, scheduling, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
