Job Purpose

  • The Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of the sales team.
  • The role ensures that sales representatives understand dairy products, sales techniques, customer service standards, market trends, and company policies to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual sales training plans.
  • Conduct onboarding programs for new sales employees.
  • Design training materials, manuals, presentations, and e learning content.
  • Train sales teams on dairy products and product features, sales techniques and negotiation skills, customer relationship management, route to market strategies, and food safety and quality standards.
  • Assess training needs through performance reviews and sales data analysis.
  • Organize workshops, coaching sessions, and field training.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs and feedback surveys.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to identify skill gaps.
  • Monitor industry trends and introduce best training practices.
  • Manage training budgets and external training providers.
  • Maintain training records and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Education, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in sales training, preferably within FMCG, dairy, food & beverage, or agricultural sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes and customer management.
  • Experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
