Overview
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and managing suppliers for raw materials, packaging, consumables, and services required for FMCG operations.
The role ensures timely procurement, cost optimization, quality compliance, and uninterrupted supply chain operations while utilizing SAP ERP systems for procurement and inventory processes.
Procurement Operations
- Handle end-to-end procurement activities for FMCG products and operational requirements.
- Source suppliers for packaging materials, dairy ingredients, food additives, consumables, spare parts, and logistics services.
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), RFQs, and contracts.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production interruptions.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams.
Sap Responsibilities
- Create and manage Purchase Orders in SAP MM module.
- Maintain vendor master data and procurement records in SAP.
- Track GRN (Goods Receipt Note), invoice matching, and payment status.
- Generate procurement reports, spend analysis, and inventory reports through SAP.
- Coordinate with finance for invoice verification and reconciliation.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers based on quality, pricing, and service.
- Conduct supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and performance evaluations.
- Resolve supplier-related issues including delays, quality concerns, and shortages.
Cost Control & Compliance
- Support budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and food safety standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready procurement files.
- Follow UAE procurement regulations and internal compliance procedures.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with production, QA/QC, warehouse, finance, and logistics departments.
- Coordinate with planning teams for demand forecasting and material availability.
- Support emergency procurement requirements during production shortages.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- 3–6 years of procurement experience in FMCG, dairy, food manufacturing, or consumer goods industry.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (preferably SAP MM module).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of FMCG supply chain and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

- Knowledge of food industry procurement standards.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Cost analysis and contract negotiation capabilities.

- Support sustainability and local sourcing initiatives.
- Participate in supplier audits and quality inspections.
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations for raw materials.
- Assist in procurement strategy development.
- Maintain confidentiality of pricing and supplier agreements.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP, ISO, and food safety requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,200.00 per month
