Role Overview

The Trainee Procurement Engineer role supports procurement activities for the company’s engineering and project operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with business needs.
  • Review, compare, and analyze products and services for purchase.
  • Enforce procurement policies and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, pricing, and supplier records.
  • Build and sustain strong supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
  • Conduct market research and evaluate new supply options.
  • Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and procurement reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or an engineering discipline.
  • Fluent English in written and spoken communication.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively.
  • A willingness to learn and share new ideas is valued by the employer.
  • Quality and safety are described as important professional values.
