Traffic Engineer

Parsons is looking for a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our project site team! In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of traffic control and traffic management systems to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow on and around the project site, collaborate with contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders to optimize traffic operations, ensuring minimal disruption to the public and construction progress.

Managing traffic operations on-site to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, pedestrians, and construction equipment.

Developing and implementing traffic management plans for construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Designing, coordinating, and overseeing the installation of temporary traffic control devices (such as signs, barriers, and traffic signals) to safely guide traffic around the project site.

Coordinating with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure necessary traffic permits and approvals are obtained for construction-related activities.

Monitoring traffic flow and responding to incidents, accidents, or disruptions to ensure quick resolution and minimal impact on construction schedules.

Conducting site inspections to ensure that traffic management measures are properly implemented and maintained throughout the duration of the project.

Preparing and reviewing traffic control layouts, ensuring alignment with the overall project design and safety standards.

Assessing and analyzing traffic patterns and recommending adjustments to improve safety and minimize disruptions during construction.

Collaborating with the construction team to schedule traffic disruptions, lane closures, and detours, ensuring minimal interference with construction timelines and public convenience.

Maintaining communication with project stakeholders, including contractors and local authorities, to provide updates and address concerns regarding traffic management.
