Parsons is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role covers design and planning for sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, treatment facilities, piping, process systems, and mechanical systems.
Design and engineering responsibilities
- Design sewage treatment plants, sewage pump stations, lift stations, odour control systems, treatment facilities, and associated piping and mechanical systems.
- Design activated sludge, membrane bioreactor, moving bed biofilm reactor, containerized, and package sewage treatment systems.
- Develop pump station, screening, grit, settling, clarification, aeration, filtration, chlorination, sludge handling, and dewatering components.
- Design potable water, irrigation, stormwater, and wastewater pumping stations with associated piping and mechanical systems.
- Prepare piping layouts, isometrics, material take-offs, pump and pipe selections, tank sizing, wet well sizing, and valve selections.
- Develop system curves, perform pump calculations, and select pumps with pump vendors.
- Produce HVAC, ventilation, fire protection, and chilled-water designs and review related systems.
- Evaluate physical and CFD models for wet wells and pump intakes.
Project delivery responsibilities
- Prepare specifications, technical data sheets, process diagrams, material requisitions, testing and commissioning procedures, and O&M manuals.
