Trade Finance Operations Manager role based in Mumbai.
Candidates must have 10-15 years of experience in trade finance operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end trade finance operations, including documentary collections, while meeting SLA standards.
- Lead and supervise the trade finance team by allocating work, monitoring performance, managing escalations, and supporting staff development.
- Ensure compliance with UCP 600, URC 522, ISP98, AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Review trade documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal SOPs and quality standards.
- Monitor transaction queues, processing volumes, and turnaround times, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Serve as the key contact for clients, relationship managers, correspondent banks, and financial institutions.
- Resolve transaction discrepancies, customer queries, and exception approvals while maintaining service quality.
Required Expertise
- Demonstrate strong expertise in letters of credit, bank guarantees, and documentary collections.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of SWIFT messaging, including MT700, MT400 series, PACS.008, and PACS.009.
- Be flexible with shift work.
