Job Overview
- The Tire Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining vehicle tires to ensure safe and efficient operation of company vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, punctures, and other defects.
- Perform tire removal, fitting, rotation, and replacement for various types of vehicles.
- Repair punctures and carry out tire maintenance as required.
- Conduct tire balancing and wheel alignment checks.
- Perform tire pressure checks and maintain correct inflation levels.
- Inspect wheels, rims, valves, and related components for issues.
- Maintain proper records of tire inspections, replacements, and repairs.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and identification of tires.
- Operate tire changing machines, wheel balancers, compressors, and other workshop equipment safely.
- Assist in roadside tire repair and emergency breakdown support when required.
- Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
- Report damaged or unsafe tires to the supervisor.
