Overview

  • Tendering and Commercial Officer reports to the Commercial Director and handles and coordinates the company's commercial aspects.
  • Must have experience in the marine offshore field. Chartering Marine qualification is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Commercial Director in tendering and proposal procedures
  • Review, draft, edit, compile & submit final bids
  • Handle prequalification procedure/vendor qualifications
  • Monitor clients’ websites & supplier portals for tender announcements
  • Assist in drafting quotations and maintain database of inquiries & quotations
  • Assist in daily administrative tasks: emails, letters, file management, meetings
  • Assist in writing and editing marketing materials
  • Assist in drafting reports
  • Communicate requirements to shipbrokers, shipowners and partners
  • Attend external meetings, exhibitions, seminars & conferences
  • Assist in collation of market intelligence and competition profiling
  • Comply with company's quality, health, safety, security, and environment policy

Accountability

  • Responsible for providing administrative support to Commercial Department
  • Market company products and services to oil companies and service companies
  • Analyze, provide, and present market dynamics, size, opportunities & risks
  • Research competitors and competitor products
  • Be a key member of central Commercial & Chartering team
  • Maintain up to date vessel datasheets for website and marketing
  • Prepare customer visit plans
  • Handle full set of shipping documents and L/C negotiations/preparation
  • Accomplish commercial and organizational mission by completing related results

Skills

  • Strong administrative and organization skills
  • Excellent technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Works independently and with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative team player and able to accept constructive inputs
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledgeable in bid preparation, proposal preparation, and negotiation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Business Administration or relevant degree
  • 5+ years of related work experience in Marine
