Responsibilities
- Install and configure FTTH connections at customer premises
- Perform fiber splicing, termination, and testing using OTDR and power meters
- Troubleshoot and resolve fiber network issues, including signal loss and connectivity problems
- Lay and route fiber cables (aerial and underground) as per project requirements
- Conduct site surveys and prepare installation reports
- Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards
- Coordinate with network engineers and supervisors for fault resolution
- Provide basic customer support and explain service usage when required
Requirements
- Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in FTTH or fiber optic installation
- Strong knowledge of fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience with OTDR, fusion splicer, and optical power meter
- Familiarity with GPON/EPON technologies
- Ability to read network diagrams and cable layouts
- Good communication and problem solving skills
