Your impact
As the Electrical Maintenance Technician within NPI (Non-Production Infrastructure), you will be responsible for coordinating and executing scheduled maintenance programs as well as troubleshooting problems and conducting breakdown repairs on an ad-hoc basis. You will be required to lead contractors that are engaged in the maintenance or repair of Boddington’s infrastructure. You will be dedicated to maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimising the impact of unscheduled maintenance, whilst ensuring integrity in your work.
As part of our team you will
• Effectively and accurately carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs to infrastructure and facilities to ensure that they are safe, environmentally compliant, reliable, operationally efficient, and in accordance with safe work procedures and processes.
• Carry out inspection, installation, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of buildings, sumps, pumps, motors, piping, OWS’s, facilities and other infrastructure.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure that you maintain facilities to a high level of operational efficiency, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Read, comprehend, interpret and learn material safety data sheets, labels on products, warning signs, instructional manuals, and numbers.
• Regularly review all infrastructure maintenance records and practices to ensure compliance with applicable procedures and regulations and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Attend to emergency callouts when required based on a rotating roster which will include providing Refrigeration Technician support when required.
Prerequisites for your success in the role
• An Electrical Trade Qualification with significant diverse experience as a maintainer.
• Sound knowledge/experience troubleshooting all aspects of mine camp kitchen equipment
• Experience maintaining/troubleshooting Sewerage treatment plants & potable water plants.
• Ability to lead work teams and apply analytical thinking in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A High Risk License with EWP, Forklift and Dogging is desired but not essential.
• A sound knowledge of statutory regulations and standards.
Your work environment
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity at Newmont’s Boddington Gold Mine in Western Australia, working within a large-scale open pit operation on an 7/7 roster. Village accommodation is available for the ideal candidate.
