Role Overview
Provide technical assistance to end users on a contract basis.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and maintain IT systems.
Resolve technical problems to minimize downtime for users across multiple locations.
Location and Work Arrangement
- The role is remote and available to workers from anywhere.
Compensation
- The payout is $30 to $55 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support by phone, email, or chat for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve computer system problems involving operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Escalate complex issues while tracking and documenting resolution progress.
- Assist with password resets and access provisioning.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and support software licensing compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in computer user support or help desk work.
- Proficiency troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems and common software applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Zendesk.
- Customer service orientation with responsiveness and clear communication.
