About the team
Risk and Compliance Engineering builds products to lower financial and regulatory risk at scale.
Builds user-facing products and backend platforms to ensure compliance with regulatory and financial partner requirements.
Risk TPM team drives programs to address these challenges.
What you'll do
- Play a key role across engineering, product, and strategy to drive programs across the Risk organization and Stripe.
- Responsible for definition, cross-functional strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale technical programs.
Responsibilities
- Execute on technical programs requiring deep systems and engineering knowledge.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and other cross-functional partners to define, scope, and drive large programs.
- Develop, implement, and iterate on program management techniques, frameworks, and KPIs.
- Improve team communication and operation to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Define and produce high-quality written proposals, communications, and documentation.
- Leverage data to drive strategic decisions at engineering leadership level.
- Create widely circulated plans for consistency and alignment.
Minimum requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical program management experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to make recommendations.
- Track record of program management during all phases of software development.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working in financial risk and compliance.
- SQL and Python scripting and programming skills.
