- Manage and coordinate the execution of design deliverables across multiple projects
- Oversee preparation of designs, technical documentation including drawings, reports, and tender packages
- Review and approve discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules
- Monitor quality and progress of discipline on each project
- Participate in design reviews, value engineering workshops, technical and safety coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance of designs with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Promote digital engineering workflows and quality assurance processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or related discipline
- Over 20 years of experience in design, including 10 years in technical coordination roles for site infrastructure and landscape projects
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams in large scale projects
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple design packages and deliverables simultaneously
- Proficient in design and document control tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360)

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an experienced Technical Design Manager to develop, manage and coordinate the design and technical delivery of design packages across multidisciplinary projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and coordinating the execution of design deliverables across multiple projects.
- Overseeing the preparation of designs, technical documentation including drawings, reports, and tender packages.
- Reviews and approves discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules on each project.
- Monitors the quality and progress of the discipline on each project.
- Establishes standards and procedures manuals for the discipline.
- Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees.
- Participating in design reviews, value engineering workshops, technical and safety coordination meetings.
- Ensuring compliance of designs with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Monitoring progress and performance of the design team against schedule, cost, and quality metrics.
- Promoting digital engineering workflows and quality assurance processes.
- Attending all design meetings to actively contribute and propose effective design solutions.
- Facilitating clear and consistent communication with all Project Stakeholders.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or a related discipline.
- Over 20 years of experience in design, including 10 years in technical coordination roles for site infrastructure and landscape projects.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams in large scale projects.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills with cross functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple design packages and deliverables simultaneously.
- Proficient in design and document control tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, etc.).
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
- Previous experience working on infrastructure or large scale projects in the Middle East.
- Working knowledge of digital design tools and platforms such as BIM, Navisworks, or similar.
- Understanding project controls including cost, risk, and schedule integration.
- Experience working with government or semi government clients.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS, PE, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- KSA Driving License.
