Technical Design Engineer

Liaise with the project managers, sales and estimators to ensure the design meets the client’s design requirements

Work with sales and estimating teams to produce client required design packs

Attend sites to survey as required

Carry out design services as required by customers and agreed with sales

Manage the design change process

Develop and standardize company design and preconstruction documentation

Support the development of, and set out company installation quality guides and playbooks

Maintain awareness of latest industry regulations and standards ensuring the business remains compliant where required.

Identify opportunities to improve design quality, consistency and efficiency.

Strong technical knowledge and experience in electronic security systems industry would be preferred.

Strong practical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.

Full UK Driving Licence (or working towards obtaining one).

Ability to work at customer sites and travel as required.

Willingness to undertake training and professional development.

Experience using CAD software

Microsoft Office package

Previous experience in a technical, engineering, construction, or security-related environment.

Relevant qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Engineering, or Technical Studies.

ECS Card or willingness to obtain one.

Basic understanding of electrical or electronic principles.

Security screening clearance or willingness to undergo screening.
