Technical Consultant

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of software development and/or systems integration experience, preferably within the retail or Retail IT industry.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Retail solutions.
• Hands-on experience with at least two of the following Oracle Retail applications: RMS, ReIM, and SIM.
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle Retail technical concepts, functional applications, and integration points.
• Previous consulting experience and experience with large-scale package software implementations preferred.
• Experience with at least two of the following technologies: PL/SQL, C/C++, Oracle Pro*C, Java (J2EE/Swing), Oracle Forms, XML, and UNIX shell scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently troubleshoot issues and develop practical solutions.
• Strong personal accountability and ownership, with a proven ability to manage tasks and deliverables through to completion with minimal supervision.
• Proactive and transparent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate progress, risks, issues, and blockers in a timely manner.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and follow-through, including appropriate documentation and handoffs.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, global environment and remain flexible when priorities or circumstances change.
• Professional approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and well-organized, with strong time-management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines and commitments.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
