Role overview

Remote contract opportunity for an experienced Technical Business Analyst based in the United Arab Emirates.

The role connects business stakeholders, technical teams, architects, and project leadership across multiple concurrent workstreams.

The focus is structured discovery, requirements definition, scope management, and technical documentation rather than production implementation.

Accountabilities

  • Lead discovery workshops with engineering, product, business, and technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain requirements matrices covering data, interfaces, processing frequencies, dependencies, and consumers.
  • Manage scope, MVP boundaries, and change-control records.
  • Maintain glossaries, metadata standards, data governance documentation, and related artifacts.
  • Coordinate data contracts, canonical definitions, and architectural decisions across workstreams.
  • Track feasibility questions, dependencies, risks, and unresolved issues.
  • Translate technical concepts into requirements, specifications, interaction models, and client-ready documents.
  • Support decision logs, action trackers, risk registers, communications, and delivery coordination.
  • Produce requirements documents, workshop summaries, dependency logs, and scope-management records.
  • Assist with milestones, status reporting, action items, and cross-team dependencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Five or more years of relevant Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or Requirements Analyst experience.
  • Experience facilitating discovery workshops and converting discussions into actionable requirements.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, cloud architecture, governance, metadata, data quality, and lakehouse patterns.
  • AWS data environment experience is preferred, including familiarity with S3, Glue, Redshift, DataZone, or Lake Formation.
  • Experience with light project management, reporting, risk tracking, and dependency coordination.
  • Excellent written communication and ability to produce structured client-ready technical documents.
  • Strong organization, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in architecture, planning, and discovery engagements without production implementation.
  • Familiarity with edge computing, IoT, or AI/ML is a plus.

Work arrangement

  • Fully remote work-from-home arrangement.

Compensation and engagement

  • Contract 1099 independent-contractor engagement with hourly compensation.
  • Contract extensions may be possible based on business and client needs.
  • This independent contractor position does not include W-2 employee benefits.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday schedule with specific hours determined by client requirements.
