Bridging the gap between solution architecture and engineering by owning and governing the low-level design phase.
Working closely with projects and outsourced/third-party engineering teams to set the standard for low-level design and ensure suppliers produce it.
Governing supplier output, checking that what is built matches the agreed solution design and meets defined technical standards.
Helping develop the engineering standards and reference architectures the business expects suppliers to follow.
This role is positioned at CUK07 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time, permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
Your unique background and skills are what will make you stand out. We're looking for:
Deep, hands-on technical experience, with the ability to translate architectural designs into real technical detail across CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automation and integration.
A strong grasp of modern architecture patterns, including event-driven architecture, microservices, scaling, security and observability (logging, monitoring and tracing).
Experience building engineering standards and reference architectures that delivery teams and suppliers follow.
Proven experience working with outsourcers, suppliers and partners within third-party and commercial delivery constructs.
